As design principal, Yong Kang provides client leadership, strategic master planning and design for major global projects. An internationally recognized designer, he has master planned, designed and constructed more than 10 million square feet of complex science and technology facilities throughout North America and Asia, including government, academic, and corporate facilities in the United States, China, South Korea, and Taiwan. Just as his buildings demonstrate the significance of the architectural details on the exterior façade, his approach to design emphasizes the complex functions associated with scientific research as “science on display.” A frequent speaker internationally, Yong has presented at ISPE, AALAS, PDA, SLM and CDC on the design of pharmaceutical labs, containment and vivarium facilities around the world.
