Steve Riojas, AIA
Project Director and Managing Principal of San Francisco
In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Principal of the Science + Technology Program's San Francisco office, Steve Riojas is responsible for leading the pursuit and execution of S+T projects for academic, corporate, and government clients in the Western Region of the United States. In recent years, Steve has primarily focused on the programming, planning, and design of interdisciplinary research centers, many with emphasis on nano-scaled materials, components and systems R&D. A registered architect and urban planner, his background includes extensive experience with one-of-a-kind, high-energy physics-based research facilities for the US Department of Energy, which supports our understanding of everything from the origins of the universe to the behavior of the smallest units of matter. Other clients include the State University of New York, Albany; the University of California, Riverside; the Georgia Institute of Technology; and the University of Florida.
