To Mitsy Canto-Jacobs, technical necessities of designing scientific workspaces are easily accommodated; the more difficult and rewarding part is to create environments founded on design that aims to inspire superior research. She works intensively with principal investigators to ensure their concerns are directly translated into viable, dynamic spaces specifically-designed to support their science. From researching technical hardware, spaces, and casework in the design process, to culling key information from CUH2A Legacy projects with the Research Environments C4I group, Mitsy believes knowledge can stimulate innovative design.
