Construction Begins on NSLS-II

Joined by senators, congressmen, members of the U.S. Department of Energy, and other key supporters, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) kicked off construction for its newest project, the National Sychrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II). Identified by the Department of Energy as one of the “Facilities for the Future of Science,” NSLS-II will be a key tool for maintaining unsurpassed scientific capability within the DOE’s national laboratory system.
